Jayne Lessard is an experienced and highly skilled individual in the counseling field. Jayne Lessard possesses over 32 years of experience in the discipline and specializes in family and marriage therapy. In addition to family and marriage counseling, Jayne Lessard also has experience working with depression, anxiety, adjustment to life transitions, eating disorders, grief, parenting skills, conflict resolution, stress management, communication, and spiritual concerns. Jayne Lessard spent eight years at the High Point Family Service Agency, and eventually was appointed as their Executive Director before going into private practice in 1989. While serving as Executive Director at High Point, Jayne Lessard was able to build the organization from a three person staff to a flourishing organization that now employs over fifty professionals.

Jayne Lessard is known for her strong leadership ability, as well as her extensive knowledge of the counseling discipline. She has been asked to speak at various seminars related to family and marriage due to her professional accomplishments. Although Jayne Lessard feels she owes a lot of her success to her commitment to her clients and a true passion for the work, she also believes her success is directly attributable to her desire to continue to pursue professional certifications. Jayne Lessard is a member of the North Carolina Board of Licensed Practicing Counselors, the American Association of Marriage and Family Counselors, the American Association of Christian Counselors, and the Christian Coaches Network.

Jayne Lessard believes that membership in professional organizations indicate a desire to consistently expand one’s insight and knowledge of the profession. Jayne Lessard enjoys meeting other professionals through these organizations who are equally as passionate about counseling.  Professional organizations challenge their members by continually presenting new thoughts and ideas on counseling.  It also provides a forum through which speakers can be heard and often times questioned by the audience.  More than anything it provides an environment in which a professional counselor can continue to grow.
