The Direct Therapy Style of Jayne Lessard

Jayne Lessard has spent over thirty years working as a counselor. The bulk of her work has been in marriage and family counseling, but Jayne Lessard is very familiar with the issues of depression, life transitions, eating disorders, and other aspects of life that people struggle with. When it comes to therapy and counseling, Jayne Lessard takes a very direct approach to dealing with patients.

Jayne Lessard believes a direct approach is best. Jayne Lessard understands that people come to her because there is some aspect of life they are struggling with. As a counselor and therapist, Jayne Lessard’s goal is to help her patients see, understand and cope with their issues so they can live healthy, more productive lives.

As a therapist and counselor, Jayne Lessard employs several techniques. Jayne Lessard uses cognitive-behavioral therapy, psycho-dynamic theory, and interpersonal theory when working with patients. As professional counselor, Jayne Lessard is a member of the North Carolina Board of Licensed Practicing Counselors and the American Association of Marriage and Family Counselors.

Jayne Lessard comes to know her patients very well. She knows different patients struggle with different issues and the same approach cannot be used for every patient because people need to be handled on an individual basis. As a seasoned and experienced professional counselor, Jayne Lessard can quickly determine which approach or theory works best with her patients. In her thirty plus years of work, she has helped many patients and has learned the fine art of counseling.

Jayne Lessard also takes her knowledge and skill as a marriage and family counselor and helps others in the community around her. Jayne Lessard is known for her seminars, which focus on marriage and family, but Jayne Lessard also does work in areas of depression, anxiety, eating disorders, grief, conflict, and life transitions.
