Various Counseling Services Provided by Jayne Lessard

Jayne Lessard is a licensed counselor in North Carolina. She is a member of the North Carolina Board of Licensed Practicing Counselors and the American Association of Marriage and Family Counselors. Jayne Lessard is also a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and the Christian Coaches Network.

As a therapist, Jayne Lessard notes that her style is relatively direct. She uses a number of counseling and therapeutic techniques, from cognitive-behavioral therapy to psycho-dynamic theory and interpersonal theory.  In total, Jayne Lessard’s career as a counselor totals over thirty successful years, with over twenty-four of those years spent in private practice.

Jayne Lessard’s primary focus is in marriage and family counseling, but she has plenty of experience with patients struggling with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, parenting, conflict resolution, communication, and spiritual concerns.

Jayne Lessard also helps her community with educational work. Jayne Lessard frequently works with high school and college students. She helps the students decide which colleges to attend and what areas they want to study. As a counselor, Jayne Lessard helps them figure out their strengths, individual gifts, aptitudes, and what motivates them individually. Working in the educational setting, Jayne Lessard helps students figure out which majors and careers they should pursue to compliment their gifts.

Jayne Lessard is also an active coach. While she works as an executive coach today, in the past, she was the women’s basketball coach at Montreat Anderson. She coached the team in the late 1970s and took much from the experience.  Jayne Lessard also participated in outdoor leadership and ministry for multiple years. She often led outdoor adventure trips in Canada, British Columbia, and North Carolina.
